He's been a lightning rod for controversy, a name synonymous with coastal beefs and a seemingly endless list of dropped names. For years, The Game has been an artist many love to hate. But let's be real—beneath the drama lies an undeniable talent, a craftsman of West Coast rap who, at his best, is simply untouchable. So, let's silence the noise and give the man his flowers. Here are ten tracks, in no particular order, that prove why The Game is one of the most underrated legends in hip-hop.

Hate It Or Love It ft. 50 Cent (Album: The Documentary)
A classic. That's all that needs to be said. This track is the anthem of an era, a perfect blend of 50 Cent's infectious hooks and The Game's raw, autobiographical storytelling. It's a timeless record that instantly transports you back to the mid-2000s.
Memorable lines :
I stay strapped like car seats
Been bangin' since my lil' ni** Rob got killed for his Barkleys
That's 10 years, I told Pooh in '95 / I'll kill you if you try me for my Air Max 95's
My Life ft. Lil Wayne (Album: LAX)
On this track The Game raps like his rent is due, Lil Wayne delivers a hauntingly iconic vocal performance, and Cool & Dre provide a cinematic beat. Need I say more? This song is a masterclass in vulnerability and raw emotion, a dark, introspective look into the price of fame.
Memorable lines :
Like Roc-A-Fella needed Sigel
like I needed my father/ But he needed a needle
I need some meditation/ so I can lead my people
They askin Why , Why did John Lennon leave The Beatles?
Pot Of Gold ft. Chris Brown (Album: R.E.D)
In an interview, The Game once admitted this was his least favorite song on the R.E.D. Album, despite its commercial success. To me, though, it’s a 10/10. It feels like a spiritual successor to "My Life," a stadium-status track that perfectly captures the bittersweet chase for success and happiness.
Memorable lines :
There's a mother out there right now 'bout to have the next LeBron
Searching' for a pot of gold like a leprechaun
The City ft. Kendrick Lamar (Album: R.E.D)
Chills. Literal chills. Play this song on a late-night drive through the city and you'll understand. Kendrick Lamar delivers one of the most legendary guest verses of his career—so powerful, in fact, that it doubles as the song's hook. It's a symbolic passing of the torch and a monumental West Coast moment.
Memorable lines :
I'm from the city where two of the best died
Rest in peace to both of 'em, spit like I'm the ghost of 'em
Name your top ten, I'm harder than the most of 'em
Matter fact, shorten your list, nigga, top five
Game, Biggie, Hov, probably Pac, Nas
Martians Vs. Goblins ft. Lil Wayne, Tyler, the Creator (Album: R.E.D)
Who would have thought The Game rapping with the chaotic energy of early Odd Future would work? But somehow, it works brilliantly. Add another classic Lil Wayne hook and a verse from Tyler, the Creator in his prime Goblin era, and you have a bizarre, high-energy masterpiece.
Memorable lines :
Kidnap a vampire, drain all his fuckin veins
Wolf Grey Jordans, use his intestines for the strings
Snatch up Rihanna and throw her in front of a fuckin' train
Sniff a fucking unemployment line of cocaine
Tie Lil B up to a full tank of propane
Swag, now watch him cook...and just stand there and look
Ali Bomaye ft. 2 Chainz, Rick Ross (Album: Jesus Piece)
Long drives in GTA simply don't hit the same without this song. "Ali Bomaye" is pure, uncut opulence and aggression. Every single artist delivers, with 2 Chainz and Rick Ross providing stellar features that elevate the track to legendary status.
Memorable lines :
Fuck y'all mad at me for, 'cause my belt got two G's on it?
Her bag got two C's on it? My daughter's stroller got D's on it?
100 ft. Drake (Album: The Documentary 2)
It's hard to listen to this now without thinking of the Kendrick vs. Drake war, but it also contextualizes The Game's loyalty to the 6 God. This track is a smooth, introspective banger. A fun fact: it was widely rumored that Drake was nervous during the music video shoot in Compton, fearing a setup from local gang members.
Memorable lines :
Ni** know how it feel when you missing' your ni** though
Can't think, so you roll up that indigo
Stressin' while drivin' down Figuero
Blowin' kush clouds until his ghost is in my Ghost, damn
Look, this song might have missed the peak of the dubstep craze by a couple of years, but it stands as a testament to The Game's versatility. Hopping on a chaotic Skrillex beat is no easy feat, but he rides it perfectly, proving he can dominate any soundscape he chooses and did i also mention he raps in spanish ?????
Memorable lines :
No juego conmigo, tu sabes de mio
No Tony Montana, mis amigos, mis kilos
Mi casa, su casa, cuidado con el chico
Tu quieres la blanca, yo tengo el perico
This had to be included for the simple fact that it is one of the most disrespectful diss tracks in modern rap history. Picking a side in the Meek Mill vs. Drake feud, The Game holds nothing back, taking aim at Meek, Beanie Sigel, Sean Kingston, and anyone else in the crossfire. It's a lyrical onslaught that reminds everyone just how vicious he can be on the mic.
Memorable lines :
The ni*** Hov gave you the game, you ain't soak it
You was supposed to throw up the Roc, not smoke it
Talkin' you gonna' be in L.A. in three hours
It's a 5-hour flight, put this bum in the shower
87 CUTLASS ft Ray Vaughn (Album : Bosco soundtrack )
Let's be honest, the last several years of The Game's catalog have had their ups and downs, and many had started to forget his lyrical prowess. Then, out of nowhere, he dropped this gem. With a sharp assist from the talented Ray Vaughn, this track is a potent reminder that The Game is, and always has been, a lyrical force to be reckoned with. It’s easily the best thing he's dropped in years.
Memorable lines :
But these two AK's ain't nothing to play about
I had a jumper and hoop dreams, but I couldn't wait it out
Rolled weed on my scholarship letters and took the paper route
Crips know where I stay, every other day, had to spray it out
Compton sheriffs hit the crib, I’m hiding in the neighbor's house
Moms kicked me out, had to move all my shit to David house
His moms told me pull my own weight, here, weigh it out
